True Harmony Celebrants
Wedding ceremonies & handfastings
Whatever your heart desires
By choosing a Celebrant-led wedding Ceremony, you can have exactly what your heart desires – anything is possible. You deserve a Wedding Ceremony which is as unique and special as you are, at a time and place to suit you. I will perform your Ceremony on any date and at any time of day you choose, and wherever you wish – on a beach, in a woodland, in your home or garden or anywhere else you prefer. Or you can still opt for your favourite hotel, restaurant or other venue – but you won’t be subject to the restrictions and standard content of a Registrar-led wedding.
Your Ceremony can be any style you want – romantic, fun, relaxed, elegant. Maybe you have always wanted a themed wedding? Why not? From Forties Glamour to Rocky Horror, and everything in between – you choose!
I will spend time getting to know you before creating your ideal Ceremony, and we can also include a rehearsal, if you wish. After our initial face to face meeting (or Skype if you’re too far away to meet in person), you can contact me by phone, email, or Skype to discuss your needs, thoughts and questions. And we will usually meet up again shortly before the big day for a rehearsal or catch up – either at the Ceremony venue, or at a place of your choosing.
I won’t just be a faceless stranger who you meet for the first time at your Ceremony. Whether you are entering into a same-sex or heterosexual marriage or Civil Partnership, or just want an informal blessing, your Ceremony will be unique, and will reflect your own beliefs and preferences.
You can also choose to include special, personalised rituals if you wish, such as Handfasting, Quaich Cup, Rose Ceremony, Jumping The Broom and many more – we can discuss your preferences when we meet.
Your wedding package will include:
Two face to face meetings (depending on distance – can be discussed)
Designing and creating a unique, bespoke ceremony
Rituals as required (rituals performed at no extra charge. Materials to be charged at cost)
Drafts and amendments, with approval from yourself before finalising
Unlimited telephone, email or skype access
Rehearsal, if preferred
Officiating at the wedding ceremony
Keepsake wedding ceremony certificate
Souvenir copy of your wedding ceremony script
Handfasting – an old pagan custom
A Handfasting is often included in a Wedding Ceremony, but it can also form a stand-alone Ceremony. An old pagan custom, handfasting is a moving ritual, often considered to bind the couple together “for as long as love shall last” and thought to be the origin of the phrase “tying the knot”. It involves wrapping special cords or braids around the couple’s joined hands and tying a knot, to symbolise binding the couple together in a declaration of unity.
You do need to legally register your marriage, at a Registry Office, usually a few days before the Ceremony, with two witnesses present. But don’t exchange rings or make vows at that meeting – save that for your Ceremony. Your guests will attend the Celebrant-led Ceremony, where you can choose to include anything of importance to you – moving or fun rituals, poems, music, readings, personalised vows, exchange of rings, prayers etc.
I would rate True Harmony Celebrants 5*. We have amazing, love filled memories because of you; you’re caring and you worked perfectly with our needs and requests. Wouldn’t have been the same without you.
Glynis was amazing for our vow renewal, from the very start she was so friendly and professional, she made sure that she took the time to know a lot of information about us as a family to make our ceremony so much more personal to us! It was a beautiful ceremony.
That was exactly the send off I wanted for mum – it was perfect. You really listened when you came to meet us, and included all of our tales in the eulogy in a beautiful story .Your delivery is excellent and everyone said what a lovely service it was. Thank you so much.
Glynis, thank you for everything you did for my mother’s funeral. We thought the service was perfect from start to finish and people said it was what they would choose for themselves. You helped us through a very difficult time. Thanks again from me and Pauline.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts – it was so special having you at the helm.
Glynis – what can I say but a huge thank you for making dad’s send off so special… you said everything we all thought in such a beautiful way ….I can’t say just how much you were appreciated by the whole family x
Where do I even start…. I can honestly say I have had a one in a kind wedding ceremony. My family and friends all commented about how gorgeous, personalised and amazing our wedding ceremony was compared to any other they had seen. The wedding ceremony is the most important part of the day and we could not have achieved any of that without you.
We feel that we had a connection with you from our first meeting. You even dressed the part and blended into our wedding colour scheme perfectly (yes I definitely noticed that lovely touch). We honestly could not thank you enough. We will recommend you till the cows come home. Thank you xx
