Any significant event can be celebrated with a ceremony
Any significant event can be celebrated with a Ceremony to mark the occasion. Some examples are listed below, but you may also have ideas of your own for something special and unique – just call me and I will be happy to discuss your ideas and help to plan a Ceremony for you.
Blessingway
A Blessingway is an alternative to a commercialised baby shower – it is a Navajo (Native American Indian) pre-birth tradition, celebrating a woman’s rite of passage into motherhood. The woman’s close female friends and family join her and can help her to prepare herself for the birth. They can bring gifts for the mother (unlike a baby shower, where gifts are brought for the baby), place blessings for her into a blessing bowl, write tips and messages into a journal, and can include a bead ceremony – or other calming and nurturing rituals, led by the Celebrant.
Miscarriage or stillbirth commemoration
Losing a much-wanted child is incredibly painful, and often not understood by people who have not experienced this type of loss. You may choose to have a funeral, but a Commemoration is different – this is more like a Memorial or Healing Service, and is often carried out a few months – or even years – after the baby was lost. It allows parents, and their friends and family, to honour their child’s memory and discuss their feelings and thoughts at this stage. It can include poems, prayers, music etc. and is often a small, intimate event, held in the parents’ home or garden, or in some other place which holds memories of the child.

Pet Funeral
To many people, a beloved pet is a member of the family, and when they die, the grief we experience is often the same as when we lose anyone else we love. Saying goodbye with a small ceremony can help – when a pet has been an important part of our lives, it can seem fitting to mark their passing with appropriate words of love and farewell. And this can help the healing process to begin.

I would rate True Harmony Celebrants 5*. We have amazing, love filled memories because of you; you’re caring and you worked perfectly with our needs and requests. Wouldn’t have been the same without you.

Glynis was amazing for our vow renewal, from the very start she was so friendly and professional, she made sure that she took the time to know a lot of information about us as a family to make our ceremony so much more personal to us! It was a beautiful ceremony.

That was exactly the send off I wanted for mum – it was perfect. You really listened when you came to meet us, and included all of our tales in the eulogy in a beautiful story .Your delivery is excellent and everyone said what a lovely service it was. Thank you so much.

Glynis, thank you for everything you did for my mother’s funeral. We thought the service was perfect from start to finish and people said it was what they would choose for themselves. You helped us through a very difficult time. Thanks again from me and Pauline.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts – it was so special having you at the helm.

Glynis – what can I say but a huge thank you for making dad’s send off so special… you said everything we all thought in such a beautiful way ….I can’t say just how much you were appreciated by the whole family x

Where do I even start…. I can honestly say I have had a one in a kind wedding ceremony. My family and friends all commented about how gorgeous, personalised and amazing our wedding ceremony was compared to any other they had seen. The wedding ceremony is the most important part of the day and we could not have achieved any of that without you.

We feel that we had a connection with you from our first meeting. You even dressed the part and blended into our wedding colour scheme perfectly (yes I definitely noticed that lovely touch). We honestly could not thank you enough. We will recommend you till the cows come home. Thank you xx
